Tamed the jungle with our new secondhand ride-on mower! Left some buttercups for the bees and hoping for more sunny days ahead!

Say hello to our trusty secondhand ride-on mower! 🌿 Our yard was starting to resemble a jungle, and with ticks making an unwelcome appearance, it was high time to tame the wild grass. Fortunately, we snagged this mower from the previous homeowners at a steal!

Now, I’m no lawn care pro, and this isn’t exactly a golf course, but our new mower got the job done. We even left a charming circle of buttercups for the bees – because let’s face it, our pollinator pals are essential to any thriving garden. 🐝🌸

As for the rest of our property, we’ve got acres of meadow that remain uncut for the moment. Here’s to hoping you’re all enjoying the slightly drier weather – could it be that summer is finally on its way? Only time will tell! ☀️

These are our first homegrown veggies, and I can’t help but feel a flicker of hope for our dream of a self-sufficient homestead. One day, it might just come true! For now, I’ll be busy properly stringing up the peas, tidying up the vegetable beds, and soaking in the invaluable lessons from every little mistake.
